To become a professional anesthesia technologist, you must under go various training programs that can be found in various allied health schools. The training consists of both clinical and classroom work, generally taking a year to finish. This year program then leads to certification in becoming an anesthesia technologist. Another requirement needed is a high school diploma for acceptance to join the programs. Some other community colleges offer the anesthesia technologist training as a 2 years associate's degree program. They also offer operating room experiences that are often beneficial when getting considered for approval in the job market.

The posted pay rates often range from $15.90 to $21.70 per hour, which translates to $33,000 to $45,000 yearly. Various organizations prefer the candidates to have Associate Degrees in the particular field and a certification with ASATT.
