Your salary will be directly correlated with where you live, how much experience you have, and the location of where the immigrants are from.

On average, someone who is just starting out in this career path will probably end up making about $32,000 per year. With more and more immigrants entering the United States, job growth is expect to grow by a huge margin so you should have no trouble finding work after you become certified. The number of positions available is supposed to increase by 15% by the year 2018.

To teach a second language in the United States, you need to have at least a Bachelor's degree at the minimum. An ESL certification is also required.
