For example, let's pretend that someone walks into your pharmacy and asks you whether or not they can take aspirin while on high blood pressure medication. You wouldn't be allowed to answer this and would need to refer to your pharmacist.

Pharmacy Technician Job Description

What you do on a day-to-day basis once you become certified as a pharmacy technician really depends on where you are located. You may end up having other duties like:
Filling prescriptions.
Taking stock of medical inventory and ordering required medications.
Dealing with insurance agencies and other administrative tasks.
Using the computer to file and label prescriptions.
Preparing creams and ointments.
Screening calls and scheduling pick-ups for pharmacists.
